CONDITIONS AND TERMS

  • The following information is required for all passengers; full name (first and last name), DOB, nationality, contact number, passport number and Emergency contact number.
  • Children aged 1 year and 11 months or younger are exempt from ticket charges.
  • If the baggage exceeds the allowed amount, excess baggage will apply, subject to availability on the flight. If there is no availability, the excess baggage will have to be left on the ground, and the passenger will have to arrange its collection. The excess baggage fee is USD 7,0 per kilo.
  • The flight schedules are as follows: From Santiago to the Island: 10:30 hours and from the Island to the mainland: 14:00 hours.
  • Passengers must check in one hour before the flight departure.
  • Our aircraft’s civil liability and passenger insurance coverage for this route is US$10,000,000 (Ten million dollars).
  • The Chilean right of withdrawal, as per Law 19,496, does not apply to online or remote purchases. If your trip is canceled due to force majeure, our standard change and cancellation policy terms will apply.
  • Passengers transfer from and to Aerocardal terminal, will be responsibility of each passenger.

YOUR TICKET INCLUDES

  • Boarding fees and use of Aerocardal boarding terminal.
  • Basic catering on board, provided to each passenger.
  • Ground transportation between Juan Fernández Aerodrome and Bahía del Padre to board the boat, round trip.
  • Maritime transportation round trip between Bahía del Padre and Cumberland Pier, where the town is located.
  • Free parking at Aerocardal Santiago facilities during your stay on the island.
  • Personalized check-in and coffee shop service at Aerocardal Private Passenger Terminal.

FLIGHT CANCELLATION POLICY

FARE CHANGE

  • Premium Fares: You’re allowed one complimentary date change. This change must be requested at least three (3) weeks prior to departure and is subject to availability.
  • Promotional Fares: You can request a date change, up to three (3) weeks before departure. A surcharge of $50,000 CLP or $50 USD will apply, and it is subject to availability.

FLIGHT CANCELLATION POLICY

CANCELLATION BY THE PASSENGER.

  • If the passenger cancels the flight 21 days (3 weeks) or more before departure date, 80% of the ticket value will be refunded.
  • If the passenger cancels the flight between 20 and 14 days (2 weeks) before departure date, 60% of the ticket value will be refunded.
  • If the passenger cancels the flight between 13 and 7 days (1 week) before departure date, 30% of the ticket value will be refunded.
  • If the passenger cancels the flight between 6 and 1 days before departure date, 5% of the ticket value will be refunded.
  • On the day of travel: Only the boarding fee will be refunded.

CANCELLATION POLICY

FLIGHT CANCELLATION BY THE OPERATOR

Aerocardal reserves the right to cancel a flight due to force majeure circumstances. The most common reason for such cancellations is adverse weather conditions on the island or port closures by the maritime authorities.
In the event of cancellation, Aerocardal will notify passengers in advance, if the weather forecast allows, or on the same day of the flight. Notifications will be sent by email, text message, or phone call to the number provided in the reservation. If the reservation was made through a travel agency, Aerocardal will inform the agency directly, and they will be responsible for notifying the passengers. “Force majeure” is considered any event that prevents or degrades the service, including:

  • Natural phenomena (earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, etc.)
  • Health restrictions (COVID-19, etc.)
  • Acts of sabotage (hijackings, terrorist attacks, etc.)
  • Armed conflicts (wars, revolutions, etc.)
  • Acts of authority (confiscations, expropriations, etc.)

It is important to note that Aerocardal will follow the provisions of Chilean law in the event of force majeure.

RESCHEDULING OF FLIGHTS AND EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

Aerocardal reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this or any other flight to or from Juan Fernández Island for commercial reasons (low occupancy). Passengers may choose to rebook flights with other airlines on the same or similar dates, reschedule their trip to another date within Aerocardal itinerary, or request a full refund of the ticket price Passengers may choose to rebook flights with other airlines on the same or similar dates, reschedule their trip to another date within Aerocardal itinerary, or request a full refund of the ticket price.
Aerocardal is not responsible for hotel reservations, tour packages, or domestic and international flight connections missing.
