Message of the month
Ver en EspañolAt Aerocardal, we know that flying is often more than just a journey—it’s a gateway to new and unforgettable experiences. With the same level of safety, professionalism, and quality that defines our executive aviation services, we opened routes years ago to one of Chile’s most unique and remarkable destinations: the Juan Fernández Archipelago.
Flying to “Robinson Crusoe Island” is embarking on an adventure to a true natural haven steeped in history. This Pacific gem, famously inspiring the classic novel, is now a National Park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. As a company supporting its connectivity, we are equally committed to preserving its delicate environment and conveying that care to our passengers.
Each year, we publish a schedule of regular flights to Juan Fernández, allowing our clients to plan their trips in advance (https://aerocardal.com/pasajes/). On this route, we operate our state-of-the-art Let L-410NG aircraft, perfectly suited to the unique runway conditions and geography of the archipelago, ensuring that your arrival is as seamless and safe as the rest of your journey with us. It’s the ideal way for explorers, scientists, business travelers, and tourists alike to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of this extraordinary destination.
Equally important, we take pride in supporting the connectivity of the archipelago and its residents, helping maintain the vital link that brings this national treasure closer to our country and continent. From carefully coordinated schedules to the personalized attention of our crew, every detail is designed to honor the trust our clients place in Aerocardal. It is our privilege to provide access to this unique ecosystem while upholding our commitment to quality air connectivity.
We sincerely thank those who choose Aerocardal for their trips to the island. It is a responsibility we embrace with dedication and care.
Let’s continue flying toward new horizons and unforgettable destinations.
Sincerely, Ricardo Real – CEO Aerocardal

Santiago Airport Marks 10 Years of Concession and Begins Second Phase Focused on Passenger Experience
In October 2025, Santiago International Airport (SCL), operated by Nuevo Pudahuel, celebrated a significant milestone as it marked 10 years under concession. On this anniversary, the concessionaire announced the formal start of the second phase of its development plan, which will focus primarily on the continuous improvement of the passenger experience and the optimization of airport services.
This new phase will emphasize the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, greater efficiency in terminal traffic flows, and the expansion of commercial service offerings. The goal is to consolidate SCL’s position as one of the most modern and efficient airports in Latin America, ensuring that its facilities and processes keep pace with the record growth of 19.9 million passengers recorded between January and September of this year.
Copec and SKY Airline Form Chile’s First Major Integrated Mobility Partnership
In October, a pioneering alliance was established between fuel distributor Copec and SKY Airline, creating Chile’s first integrated mobility network that brings together benefits from both ground and air transportation. This agreement allows customers of both companies to enjoy added value, such as redeeming loyalty points for discounts or services across either platform.
This strategic collaboration marks a milestone for the service industry, combining Copec’s extensive national coverage with SKY’s growing network of destinations. The initiative is designed to simplify and enhance the overall travel experience — from the initial journey to the final destination — boosting flexibility and convenience for millions of Chileans.
Chile Advances in Sustainable Aviation, Focusing on Green Hydrogen at SCL
The Ministry of Energy and Nuevo Pudahuel announced a joint plan to introduce green hydrogen as an alternative fuel at Santiago Airport. This project, which made significant progress in October, aims to position Chile at the forefront of air transport decarbonization.
The initiative will allow airlines operating at SCL to explore and adopt new, cleaner fuel technologies, making passenger and cargo transport more environmentally friendly. Nuevo Pudahuel’s CEO emphasized that this step reinforces the airport’s commitment not only to connectivity but also to the promotion of next-generation fuels, affirming that green hydrogen will be a cornerstone for the country’s future.
Chilean Air Force Enhances F-16 Maintenance Capacity through JE Technology Partnership
In October, the Chilean Air Force (FACh) finalized a strategic agreement with U.S.-based JE Technology Solutions for the acquisition of a set of modular maintenance stands. This investment is specifically aimed at the FACh’s F-16 Fighting Falcon fleet, with the goal of strengthening the operational sustainment capabilities of these aircraft.
The new equipment will provide safer and more efficient access to aircraft structures, facilitating detailed inspections, repairs, and routine servicing. This, in turn, will speed up readiness times and minimize risks for technical personnel. The solution, which meets strict international safety standards, represents a significant step forward in ground support technology and reaffirms Chile’s commitment to maintaining a high-quality, strategically capable fleet.
